Using Workday with AI Companion and Zoom Virtual Agent
Admins can integrate Workday functionality with Zoom AI Companion to manage job requisitions, candidate information, and employee records directly in Zoom meetings for HR specialists and recruiters, streamlining workflows. Additionally, admins can connect Workday to Zoom Virtual Agent via the Zoom web portal, enabling voice or chat agents to access supported tools, such as retrieving interview feedback, listing interviews, and viewing job postings.

How to set up Workday authentication
- Sign in to your Workday instance.
- Search for Register API Client.
- Select Register API Client and create a new client.
- Configure Redirect url: https://integrations.zoom.us/connectors/oauth/LDZQWAB0TCamQBUwBg_8dQ/authorized
- Configure the following OAuth endpoints:
How to connect Workday with AI Companion
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
- Click the Home tab or click the AI Companion icon
from your active tab. - In the Write a message or type / for more field, click the add icon
. - Click the My Apps tab then Workday.
How to disconnect the Workday app
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as an account admin or owner.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage.
- In the navigation menu, click Added apps, then Workday.
- Click Connections.
- Click the ellipsis icon
, then Disconnect.
Note: Workday app configuration data is deleted when you uninstall the app from the Zoom App Marketplace.
How to manage employee records
Search for employees
- In the AI Companion panel, enter a search query using either:
- View employee details including:
- Full name and ID
- Job title and department
- Contact information
- Location
Note: Search results only include active employees unless specifically configured to show terminated workers.
How to work with job requisitions
View job requisitions
- Access the job requisitions section.
- Filter requisitions by:
- Hiring manager
- Department
- Status (filled/unfilled)
- Recruiter
Review candidate information
- Select a specific job requisition.
- View associated candidates including:
- Candidate name and ID
- Contact information
- Application status
- Associated job profiles
Note: Candidate information is only visible to users with appropriate permissions in Workday.
How to use Workday in AI Companion on the Web personal workflows
Authorizing the Workday app allows AI Companion to access your Workday records for automated creation and management.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal and navigate to AI Companion on the web.
- In the navigation menu, click Workflows.
- Under Workflows, click + Create.
- In the Search all nodes field, enter Workday.
- Click Workday.
- When prompted, click Authenticate to log in to your Workday account.
- Select from the available predefined nodes.

The following workflow nodes are available when Workday is connected to AI Companion on the web.

How to enable Zoom Virtual Agent Workday integration
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
- Click Add Integration then Workday.
- In the Marketplace section, search for Workday then click Connect.
A new tab will open to begin the authentication process.
- If you are already logged into Workday, your credentials will not be requested.
- If you are not logged in, enter your Workday credentials and submit them.
- When Workday requests access to your account, click Accept, then Confirm to complete the connection.
Once authentication is successful, the integration will appear on your Integrations page. - In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
You will see the Workday application with a Connected status.
How to reconnect the Workday integration
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
- In the upper right corner, click the four horizontal lines.
- In the Status column of the disconnected integration, click Re-connect.
You will be taken to the page where you can edit the integration details. - (Optional) Edit the integration details.
- Click Save.
A new tab will open to begin the authentication process.
- If you are already logged into Workday, your credentials will not be requested.
- If you are not logged in, enter your Workday credentials and submit them.
- In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
You will see the application with a Connected status.
How to use Workday integration with ZVA voice or chat agents
- In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Tool Templates.
- Click the Marketplace tab.
- Expand Workday for Zoom to view the list of supported tools:
- Get Interview Feedback
- List Interviews
- List Job Postings
- Create a voice or chat agent and use the desired Workday tools accordingly.
How your data is used
Zoom's Workday marketplace app allows Zoom Communications Inc. access to your Workday job, people, and job candidate records. To do so, you'll need to share Workday permissions. The permissions you'll share with Zoom Communications Inc. include:
- Access Workday content: Zoom Communications Inc. will have permission to access your Workday job, people, and job candidate records.
By authorizing this connection, the Workday app maintains ongoing access to your information.
