Enabling or disabling AI Companion on the web

Account owners and admins can enable or disable AI Companion on the web, allowing users to access Zoom AI Companion directly in a browser. When enabled, AI Companion on the web lets users ask questions, retrieve information from their Zoom content or connected sources, and collaborate on writing or research tasks with AI assistance.

How to enable or disable AI Companion on the web

Account

To enable or disable AI Companion on the web for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Account Settings.
  3. Click the AI Companion tab.
  4. Under General, click the AI Companion on the web toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) Click the Save and use memories when responding toggle to enable or disable AI Companion's ability to remember helpful information about the user, such as meeting preferences or topics they care about, to personalize their experience. 
  7. (Optional) Click the Workflows toggle to enable or disable the Workflows features for AI Companion. In addition, the following settings can be managed:
  8. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing these settings, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the settings.

Group

To enable or disable AI Companion on the web for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management, then Groups.
  3. Click the AI Companion tab.
  4. Under General, click the AI Companion on the web toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) Click the Save and use memories when responding toggle to enable or disable the ability for AI Companion to remember helpful information about the user, such as meeting preferences or topics they care about, to personalize their experience.
  7. (Optional) Click the Workflows toggle to enable or disable the Workflows features for AI Companion. In addition, the following settings can be managed:
  8. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing these settings, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the settings.
    Note: If any of the above options are grayed out, they have been locked at the account level and need to be changed at that level.
