Zoom Paper integrates with AI Companion to help users create, edit, and summarize documents efficiently. Users can also generate AI-powered images to enhance their content.

How to generate and edit documents using Zoom Paper

Generate a document with AI 

  1. Create a new document.
  2. In the top toolbar, click the AI Companion icon , then click Ask AI Companion.
    The AI Companion side panel will open.
  3. (Optional) In the AI Companion Panel, click the Add icon  to manually upload a file or select one or more items from Meetings, Zoom Hub, Google Drive, or OneDrive to include as reference material for your prompt.
  4. In the AI Companion Panel, enter keywords, phrases, or sentences to describe the document you are building, then click the send icon.

AI Companion will begin generating the document, displaying a planning tool with the status of steps taken to create the document. In addition, AI Companion will ask any clarification questions to any clarification questions necessary for creating the document.

Once the document has been generated, it can be refined using the AI Companion panel, or manually updated.

Edit a document with AI 

  1. Open a document.
  2. In the top toolbar, click the AI Companion icon , then click Write with AI.
  3. Select one of the hero prompts or in the text box enter keywords, phrases, or sentences to describe the changes you want to make, then click the send icon.

    AI Companion will begin generating the content.
  4. (Optional) Click the Try again icon to have AI Companion generate a new version of the proposed changes.
  5. (Optional) Enter additional prompts to modify the content being generated.
  6. Once satisfied, click Keep.

How to generate a summary of a document with AI 

  1. Open a document.
  2. In the top toolbar, click the AI Companion icon , then click Create a summary.
    AI Companion will begin generating a summary of the document.
  3. (Optional) Click the Try again icon  to have AI Companion generate a new version of the summary.
  4. (Optional) Modify the prompt to add any specific actions or information you would like to see.

  5. Once satisfied, click Keep.

How to generate an image in a document with AI 

  1. Create or open a document.
  2. In the top toolbar, click the AI Companion icon , then click Generate image.
  3. In the text box, enter the prompt for the image.
  4. (Optional) Select a specific Model, Style, and Image Ratio when generating the image.
  5. Click the Send icon .
    AI Companion will generate the image.
  6. (Optional) Click the Try again icon  to have AI Companion generate a new version of the image.
  7. Once satisfied, click Keep.
