Enabling or disabling the download option for uploaded files in whiteboard

Admins can enable or disable file downloads in whiteboards to control whether uploaded files can be downloaded by users in your account and/or external users, such as guests or collaborators. This feature provides additional privacy and security for sensitive or confidential information.

How to enable or disable the download option for uploaded files in whiteboard

Account

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Whiteboard tab.
  4. Under Other Settings, click the Allow users to download the uploaded files toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. Click Save.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  7. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an administrator with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Whiteboard tab.
  5. Under Other Settings, click the Allow users to download the uploaded files toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. Click Save.
  7. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  8. (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  3. Click the Whiteboard tab.
  4. Under Other Settings, click the Allow users to download the uploaded files toggle to enable or disable it.
    When enabled, you have the option to specify who can download the uploaded files in the whiteboard.
  5. Click Save.
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
