Zoom is aware of an issue regarding meeting participants' names appearing garbled and displaying incorrect characters and symbols. This issue is primarily happening for names in languages including Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, but is not limited to those languages.
Zoom has identified the cause and a possible resolution. The issue is scheduled to be resolved in the upcoming Web release on October 30, 2023.
As a workaround, meeting participants can manually change their display names. If you're the host of the meeting, ensure that you have allowed participants to rename themselves in the meeting settings.
