Managing the video channel Survey section
Hub users can create surveys that will appear to attendees when they watch videos. The survey applies to all of the channel's content and will be prompted during or after attendees watch any video, appearing only once. Surveys are valuable tools to obtain feedback that hosts can use to gather information and receive suggestions on how to improve their future channels.

Prerequisites for managing the Survey section for video channels
Note: For access to the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features, we strongly recommend hosts to update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop client/mobile application.
How to access the Survey section for video channels
- Sign in to Zoom Events.
- In the left navigation menu, click the top dropdown arrow and select the hub you want to manage.
- In the left navigation menu, click Video Channels.
- Create a video channel or edit a video channel.
You will be directed to the video channel setup. - In the channel setup's left navigation menu, click Survey.
How to create a survey
- Access the Survey section.
- Click + Create Survey.
A pop-up window will appear. - Click + Add Question.
- Click the question box to edit the question.
- In the top-right corner of the question box, click the dropdown menu to select a question format:
- Multiple Choice
- Single Choice
- Short Answer
- Long Answer
- Rating Scale
- Type your question(s) and answer(s).
- In the bottom-right corner of the question box, use the following actions:
- Click the trash icon to delete the question.
- Click the ellipsis , then click Duplicate Question to duplicate the question.
- (Optional) Select the following checkboxes:
- Required
- Show as Dropdown
- Anonymous Answers
- (Optional) Click + Add Question to add another question.
Note: Up to 10 questions can be added to the survey. - Click Save.
Edit survey
After you create a survey, you can edit the questions and answers.
- Access the Survey section.
- On the survey card, click the ellipsis , then click Edit .
- Edit your survey.
Preview survey
After you create a survey, you can preview the survey from an attendee's perspective.
- Access the Survey section.
- On the survey card, click the ellipsis , then click Preview .
A preview will appear, where you can view your event survey from the attendee's perspective.
Delete survey
- Access the Survey section.
- On the survey card, click the ellipsis , then click Delete .
A confirmation window will appear. - In the confirmation window, click Delete.
Once this survey is deleted, all information provided in completed surveys from this channel will be deleted.
How to use available question formats
Multiple Choice
Use the multiple-choice format to ask registrants to answer with one or more options.
- Click Untitled Question to type your question.
- Click Choice 1 to type the first answer. Click Choice 2 to type the second answer if necessary
- (Optional) Click + Add Option and type the new answer.
- Repeat steps to add as many options as needed.
Single Choice
Use the single-choice format to ask registrants to answer with only one option.
- Click Untitled Question to type your question.
- Click Choice 1 to type the first answer. Click Choice 2 to type the second answer if necessary
- (Optional) Click + Add Option and type the new answer; repeat to add as many options as needed.
Short Answer
Use the short-answer format to ask registrants to provide a written answer using 1-500 characters.
- Min Character: Enter the minimum number of characters the answer must contain.
- Max Character: Enter the maximum number of characters the answer can contain.
Long Answer
Use the long-answer format to ask registrants to provide a written answer using 1-2,000 characters.
- Min Character: Enter the minimum number of characters the answer must contain.
- Max Character: Enter the maximum number of characters the answer can contain.
Rating Scale
Use the rating-scale format to ask registrants to answer with a value between a range of numbers.
- Score from: Click the arrows to select the number the range should start from.
- To: Click the arrows to select the number the range should end on.
- Low Score Label: Type what the lowest value represents.
- High Score Label: Type what the highest value represents.
How to use additional customization options
Additional customization options for each question format include:
- Anonymous answers: Check if you want to make the details of the respondents who take this survey to be anonymous.
- Required: Check if the question has to be answered to proceed.
- Show as Dropdown: Check for options to display from a dropdown menu.
- Deleting an option: Click the trash can icon to the right of the option you want to delete.
- Deleting a question: Click the trash can icon in the bottom-right corner of the question you want to delete.
- Duplicating a question: Click the ellipsis in the bottom-right corner of the question you want to duplicate and click Duplicate.
- Rearranging the order of the questions: When you have 2 or more questions, click the 6 dots at the top of the question box and drag your mouse up or down to rearrange the order.
