Using Asana with Zoom Whiteboard
Users can integrate Zoom Whiteboard with Asana, allowing them to add existing tasks from Asana into whiteboard. These tasks are displayed in a card format, making it convenient to organize and work with project-related information. This integration simplifies project management, allowing for a more interactive and visual approach to organizing and collaborating on tasks.

How to install Asana from the Zoom Marketplace
If your admin has installed the Asana app, the app will automatically be installed and available to you in the client.
- Create or open a whiteboard.
- In the toolbar on the left side of the screen, click the More Tools icon .
- Click Card, then click Import Asana Tasks.
- Click Zoom Marketplace.
- Click Add.
- Confirm the permissions the app requires, and then choose Allow.
After installing the app from the Zoom Marketplace, you will be redirected to the Connect to Asana page. - Configure the Application Link.
- Enter your company’s Asana domain, and then click Connect.
You will be redirected to Asana to confirm the connection. Once complete, you and your users will be able to configure their own subscriptions.
How to connect your Asana account in Zoom Whiteboard
- Create or open a whiteboard.
- In the toolbar on the left side of the screen, click the More Tools icon .
- Click Card, then Import Asana Tasks.
- In the Import Asana Tasks as Cards dialog box, click Log into Asana Cloud.
A new tab will open. - Click Connect.
- Click Allow to grant Asana read and write access to your data.
- Click Confirm.
A success message will appear. In your whiteboard canvas, you will see the Select Tasks dialog box where you can import the Asana tasks.
How to import Asana tasks
- Create or open a whiteboard.
- In the toolbar on the left side of the screen, click the More Tools icon .
- Click Card, then Import Asana Tasks.
A new window will appear. - At the top of the window, click Authentication and select the workspace where the Asana tasks you want to add to the whiteboard are located.
- Click Connect.
- Click the check box next to the Asana task you want to import. You can also select and import multiple tasks by clicking multiple check boxes.
Note: You can search for specific Asana tasks or filter them by project or assignee.

Click Import.
Asana tasks will be imported to the whiteboard as Asana cards.
How to manage an Asana card
- Create or open a whiteboard.
- Import Asana tasks.
- Click the Asana card to open the selection toolbar. In the toolbar, you can select from the following options:
- Click the Expand icon to view and edit issue details including title, project name, and description.
On the right side, you will see other Asana details such as the color code, assignee, due date, and status. - Click the Linkout icon to open the task in Asana.
- Click the Color icon to visually group related tasks.
- Click the Lock icon to prevent other users from modifying the Asana card details.
- Click the ellipses icon to perform the following actions:
- Copy: Copy the selected card.
- Copy as image: Copy the card as an image which can then be shared or pasted into applications that support images.
- Paste: Place the copied card somewhere else on the whiteboard.
- Duplicate: Make an exact copy of the selected card.
- Copy Link to Object: Copy the hyperlink or URL of a selected card which can then be shared or pasted elsewhere.
- Bring to Front: Put the selected card on the top layer.
- Send to back: Put the selected card on the bottom layer.
- Bring Forward: Move the selected card up one layer.
- Send Backward: Move the selected card back one layer.
- Add Comment: Add comments directly to the card.
- Save as Template: Save the selected card as a template.
- Info: Show the creator and last editor of the selected card.
- Lock: Prevent other users from modifying the card details.
- Delete: Remove the selected card.
Note: You can also right-click on the Asana card to perform the actions above.
