Restricting reservations to be in-person only


Account owners and admins can create desks that can only be booked by scanning a QR code at the workspace in person or on a Workspace Reservation device. Admins and users can only view these in-person desks on the floor map. When the Restrict Reservations to In-Person Only setting is enabled, users can only reserve the workspace in person. Administrators are not restricted by this setting.

How to restrict reservations to be in-person only

Account

To enable or disable Restrict Reservations to In-Person Only for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Workspaces Management then Workspaces.
  3. Click Account Settings.
  4. Under Basic, click the Restrict Reservations to In-Person Only toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Location hierarchy

To enable or disable Restrict Reservations to In-Person Only at the floor or workspace level:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Workspaces Management then Workspaces.
  3. Use location hierarchy to access the hierarchy level you want to enable this setting for.
  4. Under Basic, click the Restrict Reservations to In-Person Only toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in the location level from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
