Zoom users are not receiving pop-up notifications on Team Chat when they are pinged by another user.

Cause

This issue could be due to multiple notification settings prohibiting or competing with each other, or otherwise not enabled.

Resolution

Check Zoom settings to allow Team Chat notifications

• Learn how to modify chat notification settings in the Zoom desktop client and in the Zoom mobile app. To receive notifications, ensure that you choose to receive notifications for either All Messages or Direct Messages, Mentions, and Replies.
• Verify that your presence status in Zoom is not set to Do Not Disturb, which will prevent you from receiving pop-up notifications for Team Chat or Zoom Phone calls in the Zoom desktop client and mobile app.

Check device settings to allow notifications from Zoom

• On your device, locate the notification settings and select the option to allow notifications from Zoom. On macOS devices, if you're using an external monitor, verify that Allow notifications when mirroring or sharing display is also enabled.
• If you have a Do Not Disturb or Focus feature enabled on your device, ensure that Zoom is included as an allowed app.
• Check if sound alerts are defaulting to a connected headset, which may overwrite any other notifications and alerts.
