Enabling or disabling VIP Delegation

VIP Delegation allows a user in your account to be contacted by phone only by a VIP list of users. This is particularly useful if your user is an executive that doesn’t want to be accessible by everyone unless they explicitly allowed it. This feature is disabled by default and requires the Zoom Phone license with the Power Pack add-on.

  6. Under VIP Contacts, select one of the following:
    • Ring me only: Contacts on the list can directly contact the user.
    • Ring me first, my delegate(s) next: Contacts in the list can ring the user first, then their delegate(s) if unavailable.

      Notes:

      • Ring me first, my delegate(s) next option is only available if the delegator has at least one delegate with the Answer Calls privilege.

      • VIP contacts can only be managed directly by the delegator or by delegate(s) with granted privileges on the Zoom client under Contacts.

      • In the August 2023 update, delegate(s) will not be automatically added to the delegator’s VIP contacts. If the delegator prefers to receive calls directly from the delegate(s) or allow them to perform warm transfers, they should manually get added to the delegator’s VIP Contacts list.

    • Under Everybody Else, select one of the following:

      • Ring me and my delegate(s) simultaneously: People not on the VIP list, can ring both the user and their delegate(s).
      • Ring my delegate(s) first, me next: People not on the VIP list, can ring the delegate(s) then the user.
      • Ring me first, my delegate(s) next: People not on the VIP list, can ring the user first then their delegate(s).
