Zoom Clips offers a convenient solution for capturing your video and screen content, allowing you to share the recordings with others effortlessly and quickly. Viewers can comment and react to your clips to keep the conversation going. Use this quick start guide to learn how to create clips, access your clip library, manage clips, and more.

Clips is enabled by default, but account owners and admins can disable Clips in the Zoom web portal for users on their account. Other settings, such as comment visibility, email notifications, and default sharing options, are also available in the Zoom web portal. After creating a clip, you can access it from the clip library in the Zoom web portal or Zoom app and share it with others.
How to manage your clips
You can search, share, and manage your clips from the Zoom app or the Zoom web portal.
Note: Some options listed may not be available on the Zoom mobile app.
Search for a clip
Search for clips by name or use filters to locate them. You can also use keywords or phrases to locate and navigate directly to relevant moments within a clip's transcript. When viewing the list of clips, you will see the name of the clip, clip owner, and clip creation date.
Near the clip thumbnail, click one of the following share options:
Copy link icon : Copy the link URL to share with others.
Download icon : Download the clip as an MP4 file on your device so you can share it with others as a file. This option is not available on mobile.
More icon , then click Share:
Click the General share tab, enter a contact, channel name, or email address, then click Share. You can also change default link access or click More settings to add passcode protection to the clip.
Click the Embed tab to embed the clip on a web page. You can choose a responsive or fixed size, and copy the embed or thumbnail code. This option is not available on mobile.
Quick actions for clips
In your clip library on the desktop app, you can star your favorite or most important clips, download a clip, rename a clip, change a clip’s thumbnail, add a clip to a playlist, delete a clip, and more.
When viewing your clip library, you can take any of the following quick actions on a clip:
In the top-left corner of the clip thumbnail, select the check box to select the clip. You can select multiple clips to add or remove stars or move them to the trash.
In the top-right corner of the clip thumbnail, click the star icon to add or remove the clip from your favorites list.
In the bottom-right corner of the clip thumbnail, identify the number of views and duration of the clip.
Below the clip thumbnail, click the Copy link icon to copy the link URL to share with others.
Click the Download MP4 file icon to download the clip as an MP4 file on your device.
Click the More icon to access the following options:
Star this clip/Unstar this clip: Add or remove the clip to/from your favorites list.
Change thumbnail: Use a screenshot from the video or upload an image to set as the clip thumbnail.
Add to playlist: Add this clip to a playlist to group it with other clips for viewing.
Open in new window: Open the clip in a new window.
Move to trash: Delete the clip. Note: Deleted clips are still accessible for retrieval for 30 days from the day it was deleted, then it’s permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved.
On the clip itself, click any of the following icons. Note: Some options may not be available on mobile.
Play icon : Play the clip.
Volume icon : Adjust the clip volume.
Speed: Change the speed to 1.25x, 1.5x, or 2.0x.
Trim icon : Trim the clip using the blue sliders to specify the start and end time for the clip. The blue highlighted area represents the trimmed recording. Click Save.
Hide/Show subtitle icon: If an audio transcript was generated, show or hide the subtitles for the clip.
Fullscreen icon : Extend the clip to full screen.
(Optional) Click an emoji to add a reaction at a specific time in the clip.
(Optional) In the panel to the right of the clip (or below the clip if viewing on the mobile app), click the Edit tab, and do any of the following:
Click Edit basic information to change the clip’s thumbnail, title, description, or tags, then click Save.
Click Add call-to-action button to insert a button on your clip with a link that viewers can access, then click Add.
Click Settings to choose who can view comments or see the transcript.
Click Custom branding to add your own logo and choose your color scheme, then click Save. Note: Some of these options may not be visible if they are disabled by admin or you're on the Zoom mobile app.
Comment on a clip or view comments
Note: Guest users cannot leave comments on Zoom Clips recordings. They are required to sign in to their account before they can post comments.
Access your clips and locate the clip you want to add or view comments for.
Click on the clip.
Click the Comments tab.
(Optional) Add a comment at a specific time within the clip.
(Optional) View existing comments and do the following:
Click the Reply icon to enter a reply. Note: To alert a specific person in your comment, enter @username to initiate a notification for them.
Click the Copy link icon to copy a direct link to the comment.
Click the More icon to edit, report, or delete the comment.
Click the highlighted time to view the timestamp of a comment on the video playback.
