Enabling meeting questions with AI Companion

Account owners and admins can enable meeting questions with AI Companion. Zoom AI Companion uses AI technology, which may include third-party models, to let meeting participants quickly catch up and get clarity during a meeting without interrupting it. Meeting participants can ask AI Companion questions about the content of the meeting based on the meeting transcript. Questions can only be answered if the content was discussed while AI Companion is active in the current meeting.

Preset questions are provided, such as “Catch me up”, “Was my name mentioned?”, and “What are the action items?”, which can be useful for catching up when you join late or return after stepping away from the meeting. More specific custom questions are also possible, like “Was a date agreed on?” and “Was there a decision on the name?”.

  9. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting or any sub-settings, click the lock  icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

If AI Companion is disabled and locked, there will be an additional option below, allowing admins to control if the AI Companion option is still shown in a meeting or not. If shown in a meeting, meeting participants can request to have the feature enabled. If there is an admin in the current meeting that can adjust account or group settings, they will see the request during the meeting and be prompted to take action or ignore. If no admin is in the current meeting, an email will be sent by Zoom to all account admins.
