Enabling in-meeting questions with AI Companion
This article guides admins through enabling AI Companion for Meetings. Zoom AI Companion uses AI technology, which may include third-party models, to let meeting participants quickly catch up and get clarity during a meeting without interrupting it. Meeting participants can ask AI Companion questions about the content of the meeting based on the meeting transcript. Preset questions are provided, such as “Catch me up”, “Was my name mentioned?”, and “What are the action items?”, which can be useful for catching up when you join late or return after stepping away from the meeting. More specific custom questions are also possible, like “Was a date agreed on?” and “Was there a decision on the name?”.

Note on Data Usage
Zoom does not use any customer audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments or other communications-like content (such as poll results, whiteboard and reactions) to train Zoom’s or third-party AI models.
We evaluate and update our models periodically and those used to support Zoom AI Companion may change from time to time. For features in AI Companion that use third-party AI model providers, we will share relevant data with those third-parties when you use the feature. For example, AI Companion features used in Zoom Meetings to answer questions generate a meeting transcript that will be sent to the relevant model to provide the service. Data may be processed within U.S. based data centers.
