Configuring a default type of O365 service for calendar integration


Zoom supports calendar integration with Office 365 for user clients, Zoom Rooms, Workspace Reservation, and Cisco & Polycom rooms with the enhanced API connector.

Administrators can configure the default type of Office 365 service and enforce it for all users in the organization. If not enforced, users have the flexibility to choose and configure their own type of Office 365 service for calendar integration.

Note: Configuring the following settings will also affect your account's default Office 365 service type in Calendar Integration for Zoom Rooms, Workspace Reservation, and Cisco/Polycom Rooms.

How to configure the default type of O365 service for calendar integration

Account

Note: This setting will also affect your account's default Office 365 type in Calendar Integration for Zoom Rooms, Workspace Reservation, and Cisco/Polycom Rooms.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Mail & Calendar tab.
  4. Under Integrations, click the Choose a default type of Office 365 for users toggle to enable or disable it.
    If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  5. Choose the default type from the following services:
    • Office 365 global services: Select this option when users in your account are members of a tenant in standard Office 365 or Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC).
    • Office 365 operated by 21Vianet: Select this option only when end user accounts are members of a tenant in Office 365 operated by 21Vianet in China.
    • Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High: Select this option only when end user accounts are members of a tenant in Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon then click Lock to confirm the setting.
  7. Click Save.

Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the name of the group you wish to configure.
  4. Click the Mail & Calendar tab.
  5. Under Integrations, click the Choose a default type of Office 365 for users toggle to enable or disable it.
    If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. Choose the default type from the following services:
    • Office 365 global services: Select this option when users in your account are members of a tenant in standard Office 365 or Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC).
    • Office 365 operated by 21Vianet: Select this option only when end user accounts are members of a tenant in Office 365 operated by 21Vianet in China.
    • Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High: Select this option only when end user accounts are members of a tenant in Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon then click Lock to confirm the setting.
  8. Click Save.

User

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Profile.
  3. Under Others, in the Calendar and Contact Integration section, set up calendar integration if you have not done so already.
  4. Choose the type of Office 365 service from the following options:
    • Office 365 global services: Select this option when your account is a member of a tenant in standard Office 365 or Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC).
    • Office 365 operated by 21Vianet: Select this option only when your account is a member of a tenant in Office 365 operated by 21Vianet in China.
    • Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High: Select this option only when your account is a member of a tenant in Office 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC) High.
  5. Click Authorize.
