Managing Zoom Whiteboard personal templates


Admins and account owners can manage personal templates created by Zoom Whiteboard users with Whiteboard Plus license. Admins can preview, transfer ownership, delete, and restore templates from the Whiteboard Management tab in the Zoom web portal.

Note: Admins can also manage org templates submitted by Zoom Whiteboard users. Learn more about approving and rejecting org templates.

How to preview personal templates

Admins can preview personal templates to ensure that the content of the templates is appropriate and aligns with the organization's goals.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Account Management, then click Whiteboard Management.
  3. Click the Personal Templates tab.
  4. To the right of the template, click the ellipsis icon and select Preview.

How to change the owner of personal templates

Admins can change the owner of personal templates if the original owner is no longer with the organization, or when the ownership needs to be transferred to a different team or department within the organization.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Account Management, then click Whiteboard Management.
  3. Click the Personal Templates tab.
  4. To the right of the template, click the ellipsis icon and select Change Owner.

How to delete personal templates

Admins can delete personal templates that are no longer needed or contain outdated or inaccurate information. Personal templates in Trash are permanently deleted after 30 days.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Account Management, then click Whiteboard Management.
  3. Click the Personal Templates tab.
  4. To the right of the template you want to delete, click the ellipsis icon and select Move to Trash.
    Deleted personal templates will appear in the Trash tab. 
  5. (Optional) To permanently delete a personal template, go to the Trash tab and click the ellipsis icon to the right of the template you want to delete.
  6. (Optional) Select Delete Forever.

How to recover personal templates

Admins can recover a personal template if they accidentally delete it, or if they needed it again in the future. Admins can recover deleted personal templates within 30 days.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Account Management, then click Whiteboard Management.
  3. Click the Trash tab.
  4. To the right of the template you want to recover, click the ellipsis icon and select Restore.
    Restored personal templates will appear in the Personal Templates tab.
