Enabling external authentication for Zoom Whiteboard

Zoom's authentication profiles allows K-12, primary, and secondary school students access whiteboards outside of meetings securely, while also preventing unauthorized access from users outside of the school or school district. Account owners and admins can enable external authentication for Zoom Whiteboard users in the account or for specific groups in the account.

How to enable external authentication for Zoom Whiteboard

Account

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Whiteboard tab.
  4. Under Whiteboard cloud sharing, click Also allow external authentication.
  5. Select the authentication profile you configured in the account level settings.
  6. Enter specific domains to allow access to your organization’s whiteboards.
  7. Click Save.

Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Whiteboard tab.
  5. Under Whiteboard cloud sharing, click Also allow external authentication.
  6. Select the authentication profile you configured in the account level settings.
  7. Enter specific domains to allow access to your organization’s whiteboards.
  8. Click Save.
