Quick start guide for Poly Edge-B series phones
Follow this article for an introduction to Poly Edge-B phone features supported by Zoom Phone. For more information on these features, search for your phone model on the Polycom support site.

How to make a call
Make an outbound call using the handset
- Lift the phone's handset from the cradle.
- Enter a number using the physical or on-screen dial pad.
- Press the Dial softkey.
The outbound call will be placed.
Make a call using the speakerphone
- Press the speakerphone button next to the physical dial pad.
- Enter a number using the physical or on-screen dial pad.
The hands-free outbound call will be placed.
How to blind transfer a call
Blind transfer, also known as unattended transfer or cold transfer, is to transfer the caller to an extension without any interaction between the person transferring the call and the extension receiving the transfer.
- While in an active call, press the p.1/2 softkey.
- Press the B.Trn.. softkey.
- Enter the destination phone number, or extension you want to transfer to, then press Dial.
How to warm transfer a call
A warm transfer, also known as consultative or attended transfer, is to transfer the caller to an extension by interacting with the recipient before completing the transfer.
- While in an active call, press the p.1/2 softkey.
- Press the Trnsfr softkey.
- Enter the destination phone number, then press Dial.
The original call will be placed on hold and the destination number will ring. - Once the recipient answers the call, you can announce to this person the intention to transfer the call, then press the TrNow softkey.
The call transfer will be completed.
How to perform a local 3 parties conference call
To perform a local 3 parties conference call that’s hosted by the phone locally, follow these steps:
- While in an active call, press the Conf softkey.
- Enter the phone number of the party you want to add to the conference call, then press Dial.
- After the call is answered by the 3rd party, press, the CfNow softkey to bring the 3 parties to the conference.
The call will be added to the party.
How to enable or disable do not disturb
- Press the DND softkey on the phone screen, to place your phone in the Do Not Disturb state.
Incoming calls will be handled according to the Zoom web portal’s call handling setup and the DND key display will change to -DND.
Note: The - sign will appear at the top right corner of the phone’s display. - To disable DND, press the softkey -DND.
The phone will be restored to its normal answering mode and the key -DND will change to DND.

How to use the line keys navigation
The B10 and B20 IP phone displays have only 2 line keys, while the B30 phone display has 4 line keys. To navigate to the different line keys, follow these steps:
- Press the … (3 dots) button on the upper right side of the phone to scroll down to the next set of line keys.
- Press the … (3 dots) button again to keep scrolling down to the next set of line keys.
The line keys will eventually return to the top set after pressing the last key.
How to search the company directory using LDAP
- Press the Home button on the phone.
- Select Directory and press the check mark button at the center of the navigation keys.
- Select LDAP Search, then press the check mark button .
- Press the Search softkey.
- Enter the first name, last name, phone number, extension or a combination of any of these fields.
- Press the Submit softkey to submit the search request.
Note: The search result may take a few seconds to appear. - Select the desired phone number from the search result, then press the Call softkey to call this number.
- (Optional) To repeat the search, press the Search softkey again.
