Configuring Okta Authentication for E2EE

When joining an end-to-end encrypted meeting, participants can choose the information they would like to share about their identity to prove their credibility. After being authenticated, a badge is assigned to the participant indicating the information provided was verified by Okta instead of the Zoom profile.

Note: The information selected to be shared will be visible to the host and all participants in the meeting.

How to enable or disable Okta Authentication for E2EE before joining a meeting

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under Security, click the Allow use of end-to-end encryption toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. Under Security, click the Display Okta Authentication for E2EE toggle to enable or disable it.

How to view a participant’s Okta Authentication for E2EE information during a meeting

  1. Join the meeting as a participant.
  2. Click Participants .
  3. To the right of the participant name, click Okta Authentication for E2EE  .
  4. In the Okta Authentication for End-to-End Encryption pop-up window, you will see the following information:
