Recovering a deleted whiteboard


You can find and recover deleted whiteboards from the Trash tab in Zoom desktop client, Zoom web portal, or Zoom Web App. Whiteboards in trash can be recovered within 30 days before they are permanently deleted.

Note: Whiteboards permanently deleted from the trash cannot be recovered.

Prerequisites for recovering a deleted whiteboard

How to restore a whiteboard from trash

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. At the top, click the Whiteboards button  .
    Note: If you don’t see the Whiteboards option, click More  and then select Whiteboards from the list.
    The Zoom Whiteboard dashboard will display.
  3. In the left menu, click Trash.
  4. Select a whiteboard you want to recover.
  5. In the lower right corner of the selected whiteboard tile, click the ellipsis icon .
  6. Click Remove from Trash.
    The deleted whiteboard will be restored and previous collaborators will regain access to the whiteboard.
  7. (Optional) To recover multiple whiteboards, switch to list view , and then click the check boxes beside the whiteboard names.
  8. (Optional) Click the Remove from Trash icon .

  2. On the left menu, click Whiteboards.
  3. Click the Trash tab.
  4. To the right of the whiteboard you want to recover, click the ellipses icon .
  5. Click Remove from Trash.
    The deleted whiteboard will be restored and previous collaborators will regain access to the whiteboard.
  6. (Optional) To recover multiple whiteboards, click the check boxes beside the whiteboard names.
