Zoom Contact Center users can enable the click-to-dial feature to automatically dial a number by clicking on the phone number. Click-to-dial works on applications that support hyperlinks, like browsers, email/calendar clients, and Microsoft Office. These links must by tagged with the callto or tel link type for click-to-dial to work.
Click-to-dial in Zoom Contact Center works the same as in Zoom Phone. See the Zoom Phone click-to-dial article for instructions.
Requirements for using click-to-dial in Zoom Contact Center
Links must be tagged with callto or tel link type for click-to-dial to work. Android only supports tel links.
Note: Zoom Contact Center no longer supports devices running on Windows 32‑bit operating systems or 32‑bit browsers. To continue using Zoom Contact Center features, users must upgrade to a 64‑bit operating system and a 64‑bit browser.
Zoom Contact Center doesn't support the highlight-to-dial feature.
If you have a Zoom Contact Center and Zoom Phone license, the click-to-dial feature will use the dialer depending on the ClickToCallDefault registry item, which is set to Zoom Phone by default. Learn more about auto update policies for Windows and macOS.
If you have a company-issued device with MDM (mobile device management) installed, the MDM software can change the default app used for click-to-dial. If you experience issues with the default app reverting from Zoom to another app, contact your IT admin.
