Customizing the Start widget for Zoom Virtual Agent

Zoom Virtual Agent admins can edit the Start widget. For main flows, the Start widget is the connected campaign. For sub flows, the Start widget connects the bot flow to an intent. The bot flow will then launch when the connected intent is triggered. You can optionally ask the user to confirm their intent before launching the flow.

How to edit the Start widget

The Start widget is added by default to all sub flows and can’t be removed.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click AI Studio and then Virtual Agents.
  3. Click the display name of an existing chatbot.
  4. Click the Bot Flows tab.
  5. Click the display name of an existing bot flow.
  6. Select the Start widget.
    The bot flow editor will display a right-side panel with the widget settings.
  7. (Optional) Click Rename to change the display name of the widget.
  8. In the Settings tab, select an intent in the Intent drop-down menu.
  9. (Optional) Click the Ask users to confirm intent toggle to enable users confirms their intent before launching the flow.
    You will need to add a confirmation prompt message and buttons for users to confirm or decline.
  10. Click the Exits tab.
  11. In the drop-down menu, select the destination widget when the intent is triggered or confirmed.
