Advance notice of end of support for Alexa for Business integration with Zoom Rooms

On May 31, 2023, Amazon Web Services deprecated the Alexa for Business service. The Alexa for Zoom Rooms Appliances and Alexa for Zoom Rooms integrations rely on Alexa for Business, and have therefore been deprecated by Zoom. All Zoom Rooms configured to use these integrations must switch to Zoom's native voice command feature, or stop using the service.

What steps should I take to prepare for this change?

Zoom suggests examining the Zoom Rooms settings of your account to determine whether you have configured the Alexa for Zoom Rooms Appliances integration.  If you have set it up, Zoom then suggests planning to disable this feature ahead of the deprecation date in favor of Zoom voice recognition.

Zoom also suggests examining the Zoom Marketplace “Apps on Account” to determine whether you have installed the applications “Alexa for Zoom Rooms” and/or “AlexaZoomRoom” as part of the separate and distinct Alexa for Zoom Rooms integration.  If you have set it up, Zoom suggests planning to disable this feature ahead of the deprecation date (there is no alternative option available).
