Using workspace reservation schedule privilege


Workspace Reservation scheduling privilege is designed for a user to delegate a user or multiple users in their account to schedule and manage reservations on their behalf.

You can also reserve workspaces on behalf of a user (or multiple users) who has assigned you workspace reservation scheduling privileges.

How to set up workspace reservation schedule privilege

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  3. Click the Workspaces tab.
  4. Under Workspaces, locate Workspace Reservation Schedule Privilege.
  5. Next to Assign reserve privilege to, click Add.
  6. Under Allowed Users, enter a username or email address in the text box. You can add multiple users.
    Note: To remove users, click the X by their names.
  7. Under Allowed Groups, enter a group name in the text box. You can add multiple groups.
    Note: To remove groups, click the X by their names.
  8. (Optional) Click Edit to add or remove users to assign scheduling privilege.
  9. Click Save.

If the user was assigned successfully, they will appear under Assign reserve privilege to.

If workspace reservation privilege cannot be assigned because the user is not on your account, you will receive an error message.

Under I can reserve for, you can view who assigned you workspace reservation scheduling privileges.

How to reserve a workspace for another user

The user given workspace reservation scheduling privilege must sign out of the Zoom desktop client and sign in again for the workspace reservation scheduling privilege option to appear.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click the Apps tab , then click Workspace Reservation.
    The Workspace Reservation app will open on your desktop client.
  3. After you enter your workspace criteria, select the workspace you want to reserve.
    A panel will appear, displaying the workspace’s information.
  4. In the panel, to the right of Reserve for, click the down arrow  and select the user you want to schedule for from the dropdown menu.
  5. Adjust other workspace or room settings as needed.
  6. Click Reserve to complete the reservation.

  3. After you enter your workspace criteria, select the workspace you want to reserve.
    A window will appear, displaying the workspace’s information.
  4. In the workspace’s window, to the right of Reserve for, tap the down arrow  and select the user you want to schedule for from the dropdown menu.
  5. Adjust other workspace or room settings as needed.
  6. Tap Reserve to complete the reservation.
