Assigning Zoom Phone Licenses from Zoom One bundle to users
As an admin with user management permissions, you can decide how to assign Zoom Phone from your Zoom One licenses to your users. We provide a setting that allows you to assign the Zoom Phone feature within the bundle automatically or manually to your users if you are not ready for your users to use Zoom Phone. The setting allowing you to do this can be accessed during or after Zoom Phone setup.
Notes:
- Only users can be assigned Zoom Phone packages from the Zoom One license. Auto-receptionists and Common areas cannot be assigned these licenses.
- Users in the trash cannot be assigned the Zoom Phone feature of the Zoom One license unless moved out.
- Existing Zoom Phone accounts that are transitioning to Zoom One can move their existing users with the manual process only.

How to enable or disable Automatic Phone Assignment for Zoom One Licenses for your account during Zoom Phone setup
After purchasing your Zoom One licenses, during the setup of Zoom Phone for your account, you can decide to either assign Zoom Phone packages automatically or manually to your Zoom One users.
- If you decide to assign the licenses automatically then Zoom Phone will be automatically added to your users at the same time as the license.
- If you decide to assign the licenses manually then Zoom Phone will not be assigned to your users and you will need to assign it whenever you are ready.
Notes:
- The account setting Automatic Phone Assignment for Zoom One License is only available after your account has been provisioned with Zoom One.
- After setting up Zoom Phone and based on your selection to assign Zoom Phone either automatically or manually to your users, the account setting Automatic Phone Assignment for Zoom One License will be set to enabled or disabled.
- Changing this setting after the initial selection will impact only future users.

How to enable or disable Automatic Phone Assignment for Zoom One Licenses for your account after Zoom Phone is set up
After setting up Zoom Phone, you can control how to assign the Zoom Phone feature from your Zoom One license to your users via the following steps:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Account Settings.
- Click the Zoom Phone tab, identify Automatic Phone Assignment for Zoom One Licenses, then do one of the following:
- Click the toggle to enable the automatic assignment of the Zoom Phone feature of the Zoom One bundle to your users.
- Click the toggle to disable the automatic assignment of the Zoom Phone feature of the Zoom One bundle to your users.
Notes:
- If you already set up Zoom Phone and are switching to Zoom One, this setting will be disabled by default for your account.
- If you have Zoom One, depending on your Zoom Phone assignment during setup, this setting will show as enabled or disabled.
- If you are a current Zoom One customer prior to this feature release, this setting will be enabled by default for your account.
- A change in the account setting will only impact your future users.
How to manually assign the Zoom Phone Feature to your Zoom One users
If you are a brand new Zoom One account and decided during the Zoom Phone setup to manually assign Zoom Phone to your users or you already had Zoom phone licenses and switched to Zoom One and kept the manual assignment process, follow these instructions.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.

Assign a Zoom One license to your new user in User Management.
- Click Phone System Management, then Users & Rooms.
- Click the Users tab.
- Click the Zoom Phone Pending tab to review the list of Zoom One users pending to be assigned the Zoom Phone feature.
If you selected the manual Zoom Phone assignment during setup, all existing Zoom One users will automatically be listed in this tab. - (Optional) Click the Zoom Phone Assigned tab to review the list of users assigned to the Zoom Phone feature.
If you selected the automatic Zoom Phone assignment during setup, all existing Zoom One users will automatically be listed in the Zoom Phone Assigned tab. The account owners will be listed in this tab by default regardless of whether the Zoom One license was assigned to them. - In the Zoom Phone Pending tab, do one of the following to assign Zoom Phone.
- For one user: Identify the user you want to assign the Zoom Phone feature, on the far right click Assign, then in the Assign Zoom Phone Feature dialog window, click Yes, Continue.
- For multiple users: Click the checkboxes to select the users, on the top left click Assign, then in the Assign Zoom Phone Feature dialog window, click Yes, Continue.
- For all users: On the top right click Assign All users, then in the Assign Zoom Phone Feature dialog window, click Yes, Continue.
- Using a CSV file for batch assignment: On the top left, click Assign via CSV, in the Assign Users via CSV dialog window, click Upload CSV, then click Close.
Note: You can download the CSV sample provided in the dialog window to upload your users. - (Optional) To export the list of your pending users: On the top left, click Export.
A CSV file will be automatically downloaded to your computer.
