Customizing booth resources in expo


Event organizers can use tools to brand, customize, and market their booth resources in expo. This customization ability enhances the expo booth experience. Additionally, event organizers can also preview their customizations and media as they customize booth resources.

Event organizers access the booth resources layout by adding booth elements. In this layout, event organizers can customize the booth resources background and creative booth elements. This ensures that their booth customization fits in with the overall event marketing and branding.

How to customize the booth resource background

Access booth resource customization

  1. Sign in to Zoom Events.
  2. Access the Expo tab from the event that has the booth(s) you want to customize.
  3. Under Expo Builder, click the Booths tab.
  4. To the right of the booth you want to customize, click the 3 dots , then click Customize Booth.
    Your expo avatar will also be placed at the booth’s entryway (Welcome to [Booth Name] space).
  5. Scroll to the top of the booth customization screen and click the Booth Resources area.
    The booth resource customization tools will appear.
  6. Use the booth resource customization tools to select how you want to customize your booth resource background.

Add a background color

  1. Access booth resource customization.
  2. From the booth resource customization tools, click the color wheel.
    Color options will appear.
  3. Select from the predefined color options.
  4. (Optional) To add a custom color option, click the add button .
    1. Using the color picker menu, select the color, transparency, and if the color is solid or gradient.
    2. Once finished, click Add Color.
      Your custom color option will appear in the color tool’s options.

Once you select a color from the color tool, the booth resources background will change to your selected color. To change the color, select the color tool and select the new color that you want.

Add a background image

  1. Access booth resource customization.
  2. From the booth resource customization tools, click the background image icon .
  3. A Booth Resources Image pop-up box will appear.
  4. In the pop-up box, click + Add an image.
  5. Select an image to upload.
    Note: Upload JPG/JPEG/PNG files only, with a maximum image size of 20 MB and 3590x1334 pixels.

Once your image is uploaded, the booth resources background will change to the uploaded image.

Hide the booth resource background

  1. Access booth resource customization.
  2. From the booth resource customization tools, click the eye icon .
    The eye icon will switch to an eye off icon , indicating that the booth resources background is hidden.
  3. Click the eye-off icon .
    The eye-off icon will switch to an eye icon , indicating the booth resources background is visible.

How to add booth elements

  1. Access booth resource customization.
    Your expo avatar will also be placed at the booth’s entryway (Welcome to [Booth Name] space).
  2. At the bottom right of your screen, click + Add Booth Element.
    A pop-up window will appear.
  3. In the pop-up window, click the booth element you want to add:
    • Booth Meeting Space: Face-to-face conversation spaces for attendees and booth representatives.
    • Downloads: Provide resources for your audience to download.
    • Image/Video Showcase: Showcase your media for your booth.

After you select the element you want to add, the Booth Resources modal window will appear.

Note: These options will be greyed out if you already have these booth elements or if you have the maximum number of booth meeting spaces.

Add booth meeting space

You can add new spaces (if available based on the sponsorship tier). When you click Booth Meeting Space, a new booth space will appear.

Note: The booth meeting space image can have a maximum image size of 486x247 pixels. Its file format is JPG/JPEG/PNG, up to 3MB.

Add downloads

You can add PDF files to the Downloads booth element in Booth Resources.

Note: If the Downloads element is empty, attendees will not see this element in your booth.

  1. After clicking + Add Booth Element, select Downloads.
    The Downloads element will appear in the Booth Resources.
  2. In the Downloads booth element, click + Add File.
  3. Upload a PDF file.
    Note: Upload a PDF file only with a maximum file size of 15 MB. You can only upload up to 5 files.
    Your file will appear in the Downloads booth element.
  4. (Optional) To the right of a file, click the download button  to download the PDF file.
  5. (Optional) To the right of a file, click the trash icon  to delete a PDF file.

Edit the Downloads booth element

After you add a PDF file, you can edit your Downloads booth element:

  1. Click the Downloads booth element.
    The edit and delete tools will appear above the element.
  2. Click the pencil icon  to edit.

Delete the Downloads booth element

  1. After clicking + Add Booth Element, select Downloads.
    The Booth Resources modal window will appear
  2. Click the Downloads booth element.
    The delete tool  will appear above the element.
  3. Click the trash icon  to delete the Downloads booth element.
    A confirmation window will appear.
  4. In the confirmation window, click Delete to confirm.

The Downloads element will be removed from your booth layout. You can add it back at any time. If you have uploaded any files, they will be discarded.

Add image/video showcase

You can add images and videos to showcase your booth.

Notes:

  1. After clicking + Add Booth Element, select Image/Video Showcase.
  2. Click the Image/Video Showcase booth element.
    The edit and delete tools will appear above the section.
  3. Click the pencil icon  to edit.
    An Images/Video pop-up window will appear.
  4. In the pop-up window, add your media:
    • Add a video:
      1. Under Add Video, click + Add a video.
        Note: Maximum video length is 5 minutes. Maximum video size is 150 MB, MP4 files only.
        Your uploaded video will appear in the Images/Video pop-up window and booth element, where you can preview it and play the video.
      2. (Optional) In the Images/Video pop-up window, on your video tile, click the pencil icon  to edit your video and upload a new video.
      3. (Optional) In the Images/Video pop-up window, on your video tile, click the trash icon  to delete your video.
    • Add images:
      1. Under Add Images, click + Add an image.
        Note: The recommended image dimensions are 1920x1080. Use JPG/JPEG/PNG files only. The maximum image size is 15 MB.
        Your uploaded image will appear in the Images/Video pop-up window and booth element, where you can preview it.
      2. Repeat the above step to add more images.
      3. (Optional) In the Images/Video pop-up window, on an image tile, click the pencil icon  to edit the image and upload a new image.
      4. (Optional) In the Images/Video pop-up window, on an image tile, click the trash icon  to delete the image.

When you add multiple media, you can scroll through the video and images by using the left arrow and right arrow  on the Images/Video booth element. Additionally, you can scroll by clicking the tiles at the bottom of the Images/Video booth element.

Delete the Images/Video booth element

  1. After clicking + Add Booth Element, select Images/Video.
    The Booth Resources modal window will appear
  2. Hover your mouse over the Images/Video booth element.
    The edit and delete tools will appear above the element.
  3. Click the trash icon  to delete the Images/Video booth element.
    A confirmation window will appear.
  4. In the confirmation window, click Delete to confirm.

The Images/Video element will be removed from your booth layout. You can add it back at any time. If you have uploaded any images or videos, they will be discarded.

How to remove a booth resources element

When you delete a booth resource element, the element will be removed from your booth layout. You can add it back at any time. If you have uploaded any booth elements in the booth resources, they will be deleted.
