Enabling or disabling Autonomous Single App Mode


 

Autonomous Single App mode (ASAM) locks an app when a user signs into it and releases the device when the user signs out of the app. While the app is locked no other features are available. For iPads, you can restrict the devices to run only the Workspaces app by enabling ASAM.

Once your devices are enrolled in Zoom's mobile device management service (ZDM), or a third-party MDM, you can enable ASAM and the Workspace Reservation app will automatically be installed onto your iOS controller. When you open the Workspaces app on your iPad, it will be in ASAM.

How to enable Autonomous Single App Mode

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Workspaces Management then click Workspaces.
  3. Use location hierarchy to access the hierarchy level you want to enable this setting for (building, floor, or workspace).
    You can also click Account Settings to enable or disable this setting for the account.
  4. Click Settings for that location or workspace (Building Settings, Floor Settings, Desk/Room Settings) to enable it for the location or workspace.
  5. Under Device Management, click the Autonomous Single App Mode toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

How to troubleshoot Autonomous Single App Mode

If you experience network issues, the Workspaces app allows you to exit ASAM (protected by passwords) to fix the network issues.
