Using version control for flows

Account owners and admins can create multiple versions of flows and view previous versions of saved flows. You can also roll back to and publish a previous version of a flow.

How to create a new draft version of a flow

Before you can edit a flow, it must be in Draft status. If the flow is published, follow these steps to create a draft version so the flow is in Draft status.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Contact Center Management then Flows.
  3. Click the display name of a published flow you want to edit.
  4. In the top-right corner, click Save Draft.
  5. Enter a Version Description to help identify the new version, then click Add.
  6. (Optional) Click Save if you edited the flow and want to save the draft version.
  7. (Optional) Click Publish to publish the draft version.

How to revert to an previous archived version

You can view a previous archived version of a flow, then revert to the archived version by publishing or creating a draft of the archived version.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Contact Center Management then Flows.
  3. Click the display name of the flow you want to edit.
  4. In the top-left corner, click the Version drop-down menu and select the archived version you want to view or revert to.
  5. In the top-right corner, click the ellipses icon , then click one of these options:

How to publish a version

Note: You can only publish flows that have a Draft status. See the previous two section to create a draft version or revert an archived version to draft.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Contact Center Management then Flows.
  3. Click the display name of the flow you want to edit.
  4. In the top-left corner, click the Version drop-down menu and select a Draft version you want to publish.
  5. In the top-right corner, click Publish.
  6. Click Publish to confirm.
    The current draft version will be published. If there is a previously published flow version, it will be moved to an Archived status.

How to delete an entire flow or a specific version

Delete a flow or flow version from the flows page

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Contact Center Management then Flows.
  3. Locate the flow or flow version you want to delete.
  4. Click the down arrow icon , then click Delete.
  5. Click Delete to confirm.

Delete a flow version from the flow editor

Note: Follow this section for deleting a specific flow version. This method only works if the flow has more than 1 version.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Contact Center Management then Flows.
  3. Click the display name of the flow or flow version you want to edit.
  4. (Optional) In the top-left corner, click the Version drop-down menu and select the version you want to delete.
  5. In the top-right corner, click the ellipses icon , then click Delete Version.
  6. Click Delete to confirm.
