You can stream a Zoom webinar or meeting live on Twitch. This allows your participants to join through Zoom or as viewers to watch and comment on Twitch.

How to enable or disable Twitch livestreaming for meetings

Account

To enable or disable Twitch livestreaming for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In Meeting (Advanced), click the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. Select the Twitch check box and click Save to confirm the change.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon unlocked-button.png, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable or disable Twitch livestreaming for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Meeting tab.
  5. Under In Meeting (Advanced), click the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle to enable or disable it.
  6. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. Select the Twitch check box and click Save to confirm the change.
  8. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon unlocked-button.png, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

To enable or disable Twitch livestreaming for your own use:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In Meeting (Advanced), click the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
  6. Select the Twitch check box and click Save to confirm the change.

Account

To enable or disable Twitch livestreaming for all users in the account:

User

To enable or disable Twitch livestreaming for your own use:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  3. Click the Webinar tab.
  4. Under In Webinar, click the Allow livestreaming toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
  6. Select the Twitch check box and click Save to confirm the change.

How to live stream to Twitch

Directly stream from a meeting or webinar

  1. Start your webinar or meeting.
  2. In the meeting/webinar controls, click More.
  3. Click Live on Twitch.
  4. Your default browser will open and you will be prompted to log into Twitch, if you aren't already logged in.
    If you are livestreaming to this Twitch account for the first time, you will be prompted to authorize Zoom access to your Twitch account.
  5. Click Authorize to continue.
  6. Provide a title for the livestream on Twitch and then click Go Live!.
    Zoom will connect with Twitch and prepare the livestream. A notification on the Zoom client will appear to confirm your session is live on Twitch.
  7. On the notification, click Got It to confirm.
    Streaming stops when you end the session or click the Stop Live Stream on the Zoom client.

Stream to Twitch as a custom livestream

  1. Enable Custom Live Streaming for your meetings or webinars.
  2. Open the web page of the meeting or webinar you want to stream from.
  3. In the Live Streaming tab, click Configure live stream settings.
  4. In a separate tab or browser window, sign in to your Twitch account.
  5. In the top right corner of the page, click on your profile page and click Settings.
  6. Click the Channels and Videos tab.
  7. On the left panel under Settings, click Stream.
  8. Next to Primary Stream key, click Copy to capture your Twitch Stream key.
  9. Paste the stream key into the Zoom window under Stream Key.
  10. As the Stream URL in Zoom, use rtmp://live.twitch.tv/app/ .
  11. Lastly on Twitch, click your profile again and click Channel.
  12. Copy the URL for your Twitch profile, into the Live streaming page URL on the Zoom window.
  13. (Optional) In the Zoom window, under Resolution, select Full HD (1080P) when streaming a meeting/webinar if the setting’s value is 1080p.
  14. In the Zoom Configure Custom Streaming Service window, click Save.
  15. Start your Zoom meeting or webinar when you are ready to begin the event.
  16. In the meeting controls, click More and select Live on Custom Live Streaming Service.
