Using the Sentry Notifications app
Zoom’s Sentry chat integration allows you to subscribe Zoom Team Chat channels to receive notifications for Sentry events.

Prerequisites
- Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise account
- Pre-approval from your Zoom account admin
Note: If you’re unsure whether or not your Zoom account has installation pre-approval, please contact your Zoom account admin. - A Sentry account
Installation and configuration
Installing from Zoom Marketplace
- Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
- Search for Sentry Notifications and click on the app.
- Click Add, confirm the permissions the app requires and choose Authorize.
Note: If your account admin has installed the Sentry chat app, the app will automatically be installed for you within the Zoom client.
After the app is installed, you will see it listed under the Apps section in the left-hand pane of your Team Chat tab.
Using the Sentry Chatbot
Available commands
You can use the following chat commands in the channel where you would like to receive Sentry event notifications:
Help
Type /sentry help to receive a list of all the commands for the Sentry chatbot.
Connect
Type /sentry connect <your OrganizationName in sentry> <yourProjectName in sentry> to add a subscription for your current channel.
If you have not yet authorized your Sentry account, you will receive a direct message to authenticate to Sentry.
Click the link in the message to authenticate to Sentry: You will be asked to log into Sentry if you are not currently logged in. Then approve the access permissions for the Sentry app:
Return to your Zoom chat channel and type /sentry connect <your OrganizationName in sentry> <yourProjectName in sentry> to subscribe the current channel to notification events from Sentry. After a channel is subscribed to notifications, the channel will display events from Sentry:
Disconnect
Type /sentry disconnect [your OrganizationName in sentry] [yourProjectName in sentry] to remove a subscription related to the specified organization and project from the current channel. Or type /sentry disconnect, without parameters, to remove all subscriptions for this channel.
Configure
Type /sentry configure to view subscriptions for the current channel.
Configure all
Type /sentry configure all to view all subscriptions for all channels in your account.
Removing the Sentry Chatbot
- Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
- Search for Sentry and click the app or navigate to your installed apps via Manage, then Added Apps.
- Click Remove next to Sentry.
- Confirm the uninstallation and click Remove.
Data security
- This app has access to the following information on Zoom:
- View channels subscribed to by a Zoom user under the Zoom account.
- View all information of a Zoom user under the Zoom account
- This app has access to the following information on Sentry:
- Admin-level read/write data.
- This chat app has the following permissions on Zoom:
- This chat app can send a chat message to an IM channel or Zoom user under the Zoom account.
- This chat app has the following permissions on Sentry:
- This chat app will have access to Admin-level Sentry operations.
- Communications between this chat app and Zoom/Sentry are encrypted:
- Protocol: TLS 1.2
- Cipher suite: ECDHE-ECDSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
- Key length: 128 bits
- Perfect Forward secrecy: YES
- This chat app stores access credentials in the local data store:
- Sentry and Zoom OAuth credentials (admin-level and user-level) are stored in an encrypted database.
