When joining a meeting that is already being recorded or the host begins recording, participants are asked to provide consent. Depending on the account, admins can adjust this consent notification to only affect external participants, or apply to all meeting participants, internal or external alike. You can also customize this notification according to your liking.
Participants already in the meeting with active audio and video when the host starts recording will be prompted for consent without changes to their settings.
Participants joining after recording starts have their microphone muted and video off until they consent, after which settings return to the meeting's defaults.
Note: Version 5.17.1 introduced simplified consent notifications, moving the prompt to the top of the meeting window and reducing its size to maintain focus on the meeting. Custom disclaimers will still appear in the middle of the window, not at the top banner.
