To comply with various U.S. state and local sales tax law requirements, Zoom Video Communications, Inc. collects sales and other applicable taxes. The amount and type of tax collected depends on your location, the type of products/services purchased, and the applicable rules of the state and local jurisdiction. If you have a certificate of tax exemption, please follow the instructions below to submit your exemption documentation.
If you're a new Zoom customer, you can submit your tax exemption certificate under Tax Status on the Payment page of your purchase.
If you're an existing Zoom customer, you can submit your tax exemption certificate through the Zoom web portal. Follow the steps below depending on where your billing portal is located in the left navigation menu of the Zoom web portal. Not sure how to identify where your billing portal is located? If you submitted a valid tax exemption certificate, your Tax Status will update to Exempt.
Certain tax exemption certificates require our tax experts to review. In these situations, your Tax Status will be Pending. Upon approval of your exemption certificate, all applicable taxes that are eligible for exemption will be refunded or credited to you.
