Viewing Zoom Workplace notifications in the activity feed
The activity feed enables you to track messages, mentions, and notifications in Zoom Workplace. You can sort and filter notifications by product, such as Team Chat, Whiteboards, and Phone, as well as by notification type, including mentions, replies, missed calls, and more. You can also customize which activities generate notifications.

How to open the activity feed and view Zoom notifications
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
- In the app header, click the bell icon

The Activity panel will open. By default, your activity feed will show different types of activities, such as:
- Direct messages from 1-on-1 chats
- @mentions in channels or groups
- Reactions to your messages
- Channel updates you’re following
- Shared files
- Click an unread notification to open that item.
Actions will vary based on the notification type. For example, clicking an unread message opens the 1:1 chat, group chat, or channel where it was posted. - Click the Focus tab to view smart follow-ups and highlights, or click the Other tab to view all notifications. By default, the activity feed focuses on unread notifications.
Filter notifications
- In the Activity panel, click the filter icon
. - Click the Show unread only toggle to enable or disable notifications based on read state. When enabled, only unread notifications will appear in the activity feed, and they will clear once you view them. When the Show unread only toggle is disabled, all notifications will appear in the activity feed, regardless of their read state.
- To filter notifications for a specific product, hover over Product, then click the product you want to view.
- To filter notifications by type, hover over Notification type, then click the notification type you want to view.
- To clear filters, click Clear all filters.
Clear all notifications
To clear all notifications in the Activity panel:
- Click the mark all as read icon
. - Click the filter icon
, then click the Show unread only toggle to disable it.
How to customize notification preferences in the activity feed
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
- In the app header, click the bell icon
.
The Activity panel will open. - Click the ellipsis icon
. - Click Notification settings.
The Manage Activity Center Notifications window will appear. - (Optional) Make the following adjustments as needed:
- To enable a notification, select the check box next to the activity type.
- To disable a notification, clear the check box next to the activity type.
- Click Reset to restore notification defaults.
- Click Save to confirm the changes.
