Admin guide for Zoom Phone Smart Embed integration


As an account admin, you can install Zoom Phone Smart Embed and configure it for your approved domains to be used by your third-party web application. This will allow your end users to sign in to Zoom Phone Smart Embed from within the app with their Zoom credentials to use softphone services, such as calling, call controlling, accessing call recordings and voicemails, sending and receiving SMS, and viewing call history.

How to add the Zoom Phone Smart Embed app to your account

  1. Sign in to Zoom Marketplace as an admin.
  2. Search for Zoom Phone Smart Embed and click the app.
  3. To the right of the name of the app, click Add.
  4. In the authorization page, at the bottom of the page do the following:
    1. Click the checkbox to Allow this app to use my shared permissions to give permission to use your information in accordance with their terms and policies.
      Note: You can click on the terms and policies links for further information.
    2. Click Allow.
    3. (Optional) Click Decline if you want to stop adding the app.

How to configure the Zoom Phone Smart Embed app to be used with your app

Before using Zoom Phone Smart Embed with your application, you must configure Zoom Phone Smart Embed in Zoom Marketplace with the domain where it'll be used. You can follow these steps:

  1. On the top right of the page, click Manage.
  2. On the left side of the page, click Added Apps.
  3. Click on the name of the app, Zoom Phone Smart Embed.
  4. On the app page, click Manage to go to the Manage section, then click Configure.
  5. In the Approved Domains page, click Edit Domains.
  6. Enter the Domain URL.
  7. Click Add New Domain.
  8. Click Save.
    A successful message will appear with your approved domain.
  9. (Optional) Click Add New Domain, to add a new domain.
    Note: Make sure that all domains that can be used to access the Zoom Phone Smart Embed app are entered in this field.
  10. (Optional) Click Remove, to remove the added domain.

How to enable Zoom Phone Smart Embed in a Chrome extension app

  1. On the top right of the page, click Manage.
  2. On the left side of the page, click Added Apps.
  3. Click on the name of the app, Zoom Phone Smart Embed.
  4. On the app page, click Manage to go to the Manage section, then click Configure.
  5. In the Approved Domains page, click Edit Domains.
  6. Under Add New Domain, the one your developer or 3rd party software vendor provided to you as part of their documentation.
  7. Click Save.
