Changing phone number settings
After obtaining phone numbers, admins can change phone number settings like display name and whether the number can receive incoming calls.

Requirements for changing phone number settings
- Pro, Business, or Education account
- Account owner or admin privileges
- Zoom Phone license
How to change phone number settings
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Number Management then Phone Numbers.
- (Optional) Under the Product column, filter by Phone
. - Click the number you want to edit.
- Under General Info, manage phone number capabilities.
- Under Product Info, change these settings:
- Product: Click Edit to change the phone number's product, then click Save.
Note: The number must be migrated to a common platform to switch products. - Display Name: Click Set or Edit to customize the internal-only display name for the phone. You can use the display name to help phone users identify the number when changing their outbound caller ID.
Note: The display name does not affect the outbound caller ID seen by the receiving party. - Assigned To: Use the following actions to manage the phone number assignment:
- Click Edit to select the extension or site that the number will be assigned to, then click Save.
- Click Unbind to unbind the number from the extension.
