Using Zoom Phone with the Google Workspace add-on


The Zoom Phone integration with the Google Workspace add-on allows you to make Zoom Phone calls directly from Gmail and Google Calendar, view recent call history, and view Zoom and Google contacts. You can only make Zoom Phone calls to contacts that have at least one phone number associated with their profile.

How to make Zoom Phone calls from Google Workspace

From Gmail or Google Calendar

  1. Use a web browser to open Gmail or Google Calendar.
  2. In the right-side panel, click the Zoom for Google Workspace icon.
  3. Click Phone contacts.
  4. Enter a name and click Search, or click the down arrow to scroll through your contacts and select the contact's name.
  5. Below the contact's number, click the phone icon to call that specific number or extension.
    The Zoom desktop client will open and automatically dial the phone number. If prompted, select the amount of time to allow Zoom to automatically make calls from the Google Workspace add-on.

From a Google Calendar event

  1. Use a web browser to open Google Calendar.
  2. In the right-side panel, click the Zoom for Google Workspace icon.
  3. Select a calendar event.
    The Zoom for Google Workspace panel on the right will populate with the invite details, including a list of attendees.
  4. Choose an attendee and click their name to make a Zoom Phone call.
    The Zoom desktop client will open and automatically dial the phone number. If prompted, select the amount of time to allow Zoom to automatically make calls from the Google Workspace add-on.

From an email

  1. Use a web browser to open Gmail.
  2. In the right-side panel, click the Zoom for Google Workspace icon.
  3. Select an email.
    The Zoom for Google Workspace panel on the right will populate with the email thread details, including a list of call contacts.
  4. Choose a contact and click their name to make a Zoom Phone call.
    The Zoom desktop client will open and automatically dial the phone number. If prompted, select the amount of time to allow Zoom to automatically make calls from the Google Workspace add-on.

How to view call history

  1. Use a web browser to open Gmail or Google Calendar.
  2. In the right-side panel, click the Zoom for Google Workspace icon.
  3. Click Call history.
