Enabling or disabling participants video

Participants video allows the meeting participant to start a meeting with video turned on. If the participant video is disabled, the meeting will start with the video turned off. Participants can change this setting during the meeting.

Note: SIP/H.323 devices joining a Zoom meeting using Zoom Conference Room Connector (CRC) do not follow this setting, and always join with video turned on.

How to enable or disable participants video 

Account

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. From the navigation panel, select Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. In the Schedule Meeting section, to enable Participants video, click the toggle. In the Enable "Participant video" popup window, click Enable
  5. (Optional) If you want to prevent users in the account from changing this setting, click the lock unlocked-button.png icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. From the navigation panel, select User Management then Group Management.
  3. Select the desired group. 
  4. Click the Meeting tab.
  5. In the Schedule Meeting section, to enable Participants video, click the toggle. In the Enable "Participants video" popup window, click Enable
  6. (Optional) If you want to prevent users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock unlocked-button.png icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. From the navigation panel, select Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. In the Schedule Meeting section, to enable Participants video, click the toggle. 
    Note: If Participant video is disabled and locked,  contact your account administrator.
