Zoom’s Trello chat integration allows you to receive Zoom Team Chat notifications and messages from an app relating to card changes to a channel in Zoom. You also have the ability to create or comment on cards with slash commands in Zoom Team Chat.

Prerequisites

• A Zoom account
• A Trello account
• Pre-approval of the Trello app in the Zoom Marketplace
  Note: If the app is not pre-approved, please contact your Zoom admin.

How to install and configure

How to install from the Zoom Marketplace

1. Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
2. Search for Trello and click the app.
   Note: If the app is not pre-approved, contact your Zoom admin to approve this app for your account.
3. Click Add, confirm the permissions the app requires and choose Allow.
4. An admin on your Trello account will need to complete the next steps.

Note: If your admin has installed the Trello app, the app will automatically be installed for you within the client.

After the app is installed, you will see it listed under the APPS section in the left-hand panel of Zoom Chat tab.

How to configure and authorize the Trello app

1. After the Trello app has been installed from the Zoom App Marketplace, navigate to your desired Zoom Chat channel.
2. Type /tr connect and send the message.
3. You will receive a direct message to connect your Trello account. Click Connect Trello Account.
4. Click Connect to continue to Trello and select Allow to confirm the permissions the app requires.
5. The Trello app will now be active for your account.

How to use the Trello app in Team Chat

You can use the following chat commands:

• Help: Type /tr help to list all supported slash commands with the Trello app.
• Link board: Type /tr link [boardURL] to link your board to this channel.
• Default list: Type /tr set-list to choose the default board that commands will work for in this channel.
• Card/Board details: Type /tr [boardOrCardURL] to show card or board details.
• Search: Type /tr search [searchContent] to search for cards that match your input.
• Add card: Type /tr add [cardName] to add a card to the chanels default board.
• Comment: Type /tr comment [commentContent] to add a comment to the last mentioned card in the channel.
• Unlink channel: Type /tr unlink to remove the channel from the Trello board.
• Disconnect account: Type /tr disconnect to remove and deauthorize your linked Trello account

How to uninstall the Trello app

1. Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.
2. Search for Trello and click the app. 
3. Click Remove next to Trello.
4. Confirm the dialogue and click Remove.

Data Security

• This app has access to the following information on Zoom:
  • View all information of a Zoom user under the Zoom account
• This chat app has the following permissions on Zoom:
  • This chat app can send a chat message to an IM channel or Zoom user under the Zoom account.
• Communications between this chat app and Zoom/Trello are encrypted:
  • Protocol: TLS 1.2
  • Cipher suite: ECDHE-ECDSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256
  • Key length: 128 bits
  • Perfect Forward secrecy: YES
• This chat app stores access credentials in the local data store
