Active App Notifier Report

The Active Apps Notifier Report is a tool that allows account owners and admins to see and manage the apps that have accessed account users’ meeting content in real time from the past 30 days, so they can make informed decisions about whether they want to continue to approve use of these apps in their meetings and webinars. By clicking on an app listed in the report, account owners and admins can easily disable an app (and re-enable it later), or, for custom integrations developed by the account for internal use, update the app’s appearance (icon, name, and description). This helps ensure that account owners and admins know which apps will trigger the Active Apps Notifier in users’ meetings, manage the apps that have real time access to their meetings, and make their users aware of any changes.

Who can access and use the Active Apps Notifier Report?

The Active Apps Notifier Report can only be accessed by the account owner and admins.

Who is the account owner? Who is an account admin?

The account owner is the company or individual who signs up for a Zoom account, and they appoint one or more people, called “administrators,” to manage and grant privileges on their account. This admin role can be reassigned to another user after the account is created, and the user can be actively hosting meetings or webinars on their account, or managing account settings without hosting meetings. The account owner can be found on the Account Profile page.

An account admin is a user designated by the account owner who has administrative privileges, including adding, removing, or editing users, as well as managing advanced features.

Does the Active Apps Notifier Report list every app that has accessed any type of meeting content or data in the last 30 days?

No, the Active Apps Notifier Report only lists the apps that have accessed account users' meeting content (audio, video, chat) during a meeting in the last 30 days. The Active Apps Notifier functions similarly in that it shows participants only the apps that are accessing the meeting content (audio, video, chat) in real time during a meeting. The Active Apps Notifier Report is designed to provide an indication to the account owner or admin based on historical data of the apps in use on their account that may show up in the Active App Notifier, once it is released.

Does the Active Apps Notifier Report allow account owners and admins to change the text of pop-ups and tooltips in the Active Apps Notifier?

That functionality is not currently available.

Can apps be disabled or enabled through the Active Apps Notifier Report?

Yes, the account owner and admins can click on the name of any app in the Active Apps Notifier Report to manage that app, including disabling and enabling the app.

Is it possible for account owners or admins to see all apps that have historically accessed meeting content in real time (not just the last 30 days)?

For this release it is limited to 30 days.
