Livestreaming meetings or webinars on Workplace


You can live stream a Zoom webinar or meeting on Workplace from Meta pages or groups that you are an admin for. This allows your participants to join via Zoom or viewers to watch and comment on the Workplace from Meta live stream.

How to enable live streaming meetings on Workplace from Meta

Account

To enable all members of your organization to live stream meetings on Workplace from Meta:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle is enabled.
  5. Select the check box next to Workplace from Meta.
  6. Click Save.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable all members of a specific group to live stream meetings on Workplace from Meta:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Meeting tab.
  5. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle is enabled.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  6. Select the check box next to Workplace from Meta.
  7. Click Save.
  8. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

To enable live streaming meetings that you host on Workplace from Meta:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle is enabled.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
  5. Select the check box next to Workplace from Meta.
  6. Click Save.

How to enable live streaming webinars on Workplace from Meta 

Account

User

To enable live streaming webinars that you host on Workplace from Meta:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under In Meeting (Advanced), verify that the Allow livestreaming of meetings toggle is enabled.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
  5. Select the check box next to Workplace from Meta.
  6. Click Save.

How to start a live stream to Workplace from Meta

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Start a meeting or webinar.
  3. In the meeting/webinar controls toolbar, click More.
  4. Click Live on Workplace from Meta.
    A dialog displays in your browser, asking where you want to post your live video.
  5. Choose whether to share on your Timeline, in a Group, or in an Event, then click Next.
  6. In the Get Started section, select Use Stream Key and click Next
  7. Click Done.
  8. Add the title of the broadcast and optional description, as well as adjust other optional video options. 
  9. Ignore the Choose How to Broadcast section and click Go Live.
    The Workplace from Meta page opens, showing your live meeting in the location you chose.
  10. Streaming stops when you end the webinar or meeting, or click the More again on the controls toolbar and select Stop Streaming.
