Privilege

General

See members' full profile information (name, profile photo, phone numbers, extension number, department, job title, location)

Note: External members can see a member's full profile information if the member is a contact. If the member is not a contact, external members can only see the member's profile name and photo.

See members' presence status

See bots used in the channel

Create private or public channels in the internal user's account

Be invited to join a public or private channel in the internal user's account

Note: For members to invite external users to a channel, this privilege needs to be enabled by the channel admin using the channel's privacy settings.

Search for public channels in the internal user's account

Invite other members to a private channel

Note: External members must be granted this privilege by the channel admin using the channel's privacy settings.

Remove members from channels and set channel settings

Note: These privileges are only available to the channel admin. External users can be assigned as the channel admin.

Note: External members can message members that are contacts.

Start a group chat with members in the same channel

Note: External members can start a group chat with members that are contacts.

View chat history and files shared in channels they can access

Use @all or @[user] chat mentions to notify all members or specific member

Start a one-to-one meeting or Zoom Phone call with members in the same channels

Note: External members can start a one-on-one meeting or Zoom Phone call with members that are contacts.
