Changing audio settings during a Zoom meeting

By default, Zoom uses noise suppression and echo cancellation to enhance the clarity of your microphone audio. You can adjust your professional audio settings during a Zoom Meeting to disable audio filters or enable higher-quality audio modes. From the meeting toolbar, you can access and configure your microphone modes and audio profiles. Additionally, you can also enable Personalized audio isolation, which creates a custom audio profile to enhance your voice and reduce background noise for a more focused sound experience.

Once you have enabled your selected audio profile in the app, you can enable this setting in your meetings as needed.

For sharing audio as part of screen sharing, either in mono or stereo, refer to the sharing computer audio article.

The Original sound for musicians and Live performance audio profiles allow for greater preservation of audio received from your microphone without using Zoom's echo cancellation and audio filters. These are ideal if your microphone or sound equipment has these features built in or if you want to preserve the full range of sound from a musical instrument.
Note: If you enable Original sound for musicians in a meeting, all noise suppression is disabled. If you disable Original sound for musicians, the app reverts to the noise suppression setting that you chose in your app settings, meaning it could be Auto / Low / Med / High.
