Zoom Room Controllers now displays a join link for a user's Personal Meeting ID (PMI), using the feature Join Personal Meeting ID. Users can insert a hyperlink of their personal meeting link in the Location field in their profile on the Zoom web portal. When the contact is selected from the contact list on the Zoom Room controller, the PMI link will be displayed in the contact details under Location.

This feature allows the Zoom Room to easily find and join the user’s PMI.

Notes:

• This functionality already exists in the Zoom desktop client. This feature refers to how it is being implemented in Zoom Rooms.
• The user’s Location field must include a valid PMI URL. The PMI must be detectable, and it must be populated in the Location field for users to select the tappable PMI link.
• The user's PMI URL may optionally include the encoded meeting passcode (if a passcode is set for the PMI). Including the encoded meeting passcode is recommended as users are unlikely to know the passcode and it cannot be looked up from the Zoom Rooms interface.

How to add your PMI to the Location field of your profile

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click Profile.
3. Under Meeting, find Personal Meeting ID and click the eye icon to view your PMI and meeting link.
4. Copy your personal meeting link.
5. Under your profile name, click Edit.
6. In the Location field, paste your PMI.
7. Click Save.

How to configure Zoom Rooms to display personal information

You can configure Zoom Rooms to show the PMI URL of contacts on the Zoom web portal:

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. Click Room Management, then click Zoom Rooms.
3. You can use the Zoom Rooms location hierarchy to configure this setting from the account, location, or room settings. For this example, click Account Settings.
4. Click the Meetings tab, then click the toggle for Hide user personal information in contact details to off (the default setting is on).
5. (Optional) To make your configuration mandatory for all rooms, click the lock icon .

How to use Join Personal Meeting ID from a Zoom Room

1. Go to a Zoom Room.
2. Tap the Contacts icon on the left-hand side of the Zoom Rooms Controller.
3. Search for a contact who has entered their PMI into their Location field.
4. On the controller, select the contact’s name.
   Under their name, the PMI URL is displayed next to the Location field.
5. Next to the Location field, tap the PMI URL.
