Recording in Zoom Rooms
You can record to the cloud during a Zoom Room meeting or allow a remote participant to record the meeting to a local device.

Recording to the cloud
- Start an instant meeting or scheduled meeting on your Zoom Room controller
- Tap Start Recording on your controller:
- If you are in an instant meeting you will be prompted to enter the email address where the cloud recording link will be sent.
- If you are in a scheduled meeting, the cloud recording link will be sent to the email address of the host that scheduled the meeting.
- To stop the recording, tap Stop Recording or tap Leave and then tap End meeting for all.
Recording to a local device
- Start an instant meeting or scheduled meeting on your Zoom Room controller

Tap Manage Participants then tap the participant you want to give recording privileges to. Tap Allow Recording to provide the privileges.

The participant can click Record to start the recording.
How to view the recording
Viewing cloud recordings for scheduled meetings
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- Click Recordings.
- Click on the topic of the meeting to view the cloud recording files.
Note: The host receives an email notification when the recording file is ready to view or download.
Viewing cloud recordings for instant meetings
The link to the cloud recording will be sent to the email address that was entered when the recording was started. This email includes a link to view or download the recording file.
Viewing local recordings
You can find your default recording location for local recordings in your Zoom client settings.
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
- Click Recording.
- Click one of these options beside Local Recording:
- Click Open to open the folder where your local recordings are stored.
