Applying discounts on a Zoom account

Zoom accepts coupons. You can add a promotional code to your account when upgrading your plan from free/basic to a paid account or purchasing as a new user.

How to apply a promotional coupon

Promotional coupons are typically marketing coupons that you may receive through email or another method. 

When purchasing and creating a new Zoom account

Follow the steps below if you don't have a Zoom account, but want to purchase a subscription with a valid promotional code. You can purchase a plan and create a Zoom account during the process.

  1. Start your purchase from Plans and Pricing and follow the instructions on the screen to select your number of licenses, your plan, your subscription type, then click Continue.
  2. Follow the steps to create your account.
  3. In PAYMENT, enter your billing contact information, sold to contact and select your payment method.
  4. Click Continue to Order Review.
  5. In the Order Summary section on the right, enter your coupon code, then click Add.
  6. Review the Terms and Conditions, then click Accept.
  7. Click Place Order to complete your transaction.

When upgrading from a Basic (free) to a paid plan type

Follow the steps below if you currently have a free Zoom plan, and want to upgrade to a paid plan with a valid promotional code.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Plan Management.
  3. Click Upgrade to Pro.
  4. In the Checkout modal, choose your subscription details, then click Continue.
  5. Enter your address and payment information, then click Continue to Review Order.
  6. In the Order Summary section, click Add Coupon Code.
  7. Enter the coupon code, then click Add.
  8. Click Place Order to complete your transaction.

When you already have a paid Zoom account

If you are an existing customer with a paid Zoom account, and receive a coupon from a Zoom partner who is in the Zoom coupon program or from a marketing campaign, you can enter a coupon in the Zoom web portal.

Follow the steps below depending on where your billing portal is located in the left navigation menu of the Zoom web portal. Not sure how to identify where your billing portal is located? Learn how to locate your billing settings.

Billing portal under Plans and Billing
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Plan Management.
  3. In the Coupons tile below your plan tiles, click Add.
  4. Enter your coupon code, then click Add.
    You will be redirected to the Checkout page where you can confirm that your coupon automatically applied.
  5. Click Place Order to complete your transaction.
Billing portal under Account Management
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Billing.
  3. Select the Current Plans tab.
  4. In the box on the right of COUPONS, enter your coupon code, then click Apply.
  5. Select the appropriate license and subscription cycle according to your coupon, then click Continue.
    Note: The discounted price will reflect immediately in your shopping cart and will be applied at checkout.

How to apply a nonprofit coupon

How to add another coupon to your account for future use

You can only add two coupons in your account. If you have two coupons in your account, one coupon will be active and the other will be in the pending state. The pending coupon will become active once the current one expires.

Billing portal under Plans and Billing
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Plan Management.
  3. In the Coupons tile below your plan tiles, click Add.
  4. Enter your coupon code, then click Add.
  5. Follow the instructions in the portal to continue adding the coupon to your account. The pending coupon will become active once the current one expires.
Billing portal under Account Management
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Billing.
  3. Select the Current Plans tab.
  4. On the far right of Coupons, click Add Coupons.
  5. In the CODE box, enter the new coupon code, then click Apply.
  6. (Optional) On the far right of Coupons, click View to review your coupon details.
