Regenerating a token for a virtual appliance


Zoom's on-premise appliances utilize tokens generated within the web portal to allow the appliance to authenticate and connect to Zoom. These tokens can be regenerated by administrators if the token needs to be rotated.

How to generate a new token

Regenerate the token

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Advanced then Meeting Connector.
  3. In the Setup tab, scroll to the Token section.
  4. Click Regenerate, to create a new token.
  5. Click Copy, to copy the new token.

Adding the new token

  1. In your web browser, navigate to the appliance's web console: https://IPaddress:5480.
  2. Sign in with admin credentials.
  3. On the Configure tab, paste the new token.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. When prompted to restart the appliance, click OK.

Note: If your organization utilizes the Virtual Room Connector Load Balancer, these steps will need to be followed to update the Load Balancer as well.

Regenerate the token

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Room Management then H.323/SIP Room Connector.
  3. Click the Virtual Room Connector tab.
  4. Under the Dowload & Token section, click Virtual Room Connector to view the token.
  5. Click Regenerate, to create a new token.
  6. Copy the new token.

Adding the new token

  1. In your web browser, navigate to the appliance's web console: https://IPaddress:5480.
  2. Sign in with admin credentials.
  3. On the Configure tab, paste the new token.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. When prompted to restart the appliance, click OK.
