Stopping all incoming video in a meeting or webinar
If you need to preserve bandwidth for shared content, or want to avoid mental fatigue from viewing multiple, active video participants, you can easily stop all incoming videos. This will only affect your view of the meeting, while others are unaffected and unaware.

Prerequisites for stopping all incoming video
- Zoom desktop client

Enabling stop all incoming video
Account
To enable or disable Enable "stop incoming video" feature for all users in the account:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
- Click the Meeting tab.
- Under In-meeting (Advanced), click the Enable "stop incoming video" feature toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
Group
To enable or disable Enable "stop incoming video" feature for a group of users:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
- In the navigation menu, click User Management then Group Management.
- Click the applicable group name from the list.
- Click theMeeting tab.
- UnderIn-meeting (Advanced), click theEnable "stop incoming video" feature toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level. - (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
User
To enable or disable Enable "stop incoming video" feature for your own use:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click Settings.
- Click the Meeting tab.
- Under In-meeting (Advanced), click the Enable "stop incoming video" feature toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog displays, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
Desktop clients
To enable or disable Enable "stop incoming video" feature on the desktop clients:
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
- Select Video.
- Select the check box next to Enable stop incoming video feature to enable or disable it.
Note: This setting must be enabled on the web portal and in the desktop client settings to be used in a meeting. There is no additional setting on the mobile client, so as long as this is enabled in web settings, it will be available in meetings you join through the mobile app.
How to stop incoming video
- Start or join a meeting.
- Click View in the top-right corner, and then click Stop Incoming Video.
- To resume videos, click View again and select Start Incoming Video.
- Start or join a meeting.
- Tap the More option in your meeting controls.
- Tap Meeting Settings.
- Find and tap the toggle next to the Stop incoming video option.
- To resume videos, tap the toggle next to Stop incoming video to disable.
- Start or join a meeting with the web client.
- Click the More option in the meeting controls.
- Click Stop incoming video.
