Calling a SIP/H.323 room system from the client
While H.323 and SIP-based room systems can be invited to a meeting once it has been started, room systems can also be called directly from the desktop and mobile client, without starting a meeting first.

Prerequisites for calling a room system directly from the client
- The caller must be a Licensed user

- Windows: version 4.4.52578.0415 or higher
- macOS: version 4.4.52551.0414 or higher
- Zoom mobile app
- Android: version 4.4.52504.0411 or higher
- iOS: version 4.4.52578.0415 or higher
How to enable Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
Account
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings.
- Click the Meeting tab.
- Under More Settings, verify that Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
is enabled. - If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
- (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
Group
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click User Management then Groups.
- Click the applicable group name from the list, then click the Meeting tab.
- Under Other, verify that Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
is enabled. - If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level. - (Optional) If you want to make this setting mandatory for all users in the group, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
User
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click Settings.
- Click the Meeting tab.
- Under Other, verify that Call a SIP/H.323 room system directly from the client
is enabled. - If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, click Turn On to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
How to call a room system
Call from the Zoom desktop client
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
- On the Home tab, click Call a Room.
- Click H.323/SIP, then enter the address of the room system.
- Click Call.
Call from the Zoom mobile app
- Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
- Tap Call a Room.
- Tap H.323/SIP, then enter the address of the room system.
- Tap Call.
Call from the iPadOS client
- Sign in to the Zoom client on an iPad.
- Tap Call a Room.
- Tap H.323/SIP, then enter the address of the room system.
- Tap Call.
