Exporting logs and config files (Yealink)


Providing the support team with logs and/or configuration files can help them troubleshoot issues you may be having. You can download these files from the web interface and then send them to support for further analysis.

How to obtain the phone's IP address

T4 series without touchscreen

  1. Press the Menu button. 
  2. Use the phone's directional pad to select Status.
  3. Make note of the IPv4 address.

T4 series with a touchscreen

  1. Tap Menu on the home screen.
  2. T4 series with a touchscreen: Tap Status.
  3. Make note of the IPv4 address.

T5 series with a touchscreen

  1. Swipe left from the home screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Make note of the IPv4 address.

How to access the phone's web interface

  1. Open a web browser on a computer that's connected to the same network as the phone.
  2. Enter the phone's IP address.
  3. Log in to the phone's web interface as an admin.
    Note: The default admin username and password is admin / admin. If you do not know your username or password, contact the vendor of the phone. If you set the admin password globally, you can view the password in the Zoom web portal.

How to export logs and configuration files using the phone's web interface

Note: Older Yealink devices may have a slightly different web interface that has the green header bar.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Configuration.
  2. Make the following changes to enable local logs:


    • Local Log section
      • Enable Local Log: Select On or Enable.
      • Local Log Level: Change to 6.
      • Max Logfile Size: Enter 2048.
    • Syslog section (optional)
      Note: For more information on setting up syslog, visit Yealink support.
      • Enable Syslog: Select On or Enable.
      • Syslog Server: Enter the server address that you want to export the logs to.
      • Syslog Transport Type: change to TCP.
      • Syslog Level: Change to 6.
  3. Click Start to start the logging feature.
  4. Repeat the process produce the issue on the Yealink phone.
  5. Click Stop and wait for 2 to 3 minutes. The allconfig.zip file will automatically generate and download. If it doesn't, click Export.
