Sometimes finding the right words can be challenging. Compose with AI Companion for Team Chat helps you write messages by using context from your conversation to suggest replies.
Use Zoom Team Chat to message with other Zoom users outside of a Zoom meeting. You can send messages to individual users, a group of users, or a dedicated chat channel. After sending a message, you can edit or delete messages, files, or images, as well as react with emojis to someone else’s message.
If a message is edited, that edited version will appear for all users in that chat thread and search results. Edited messages are indicated with (Edited) next to the date and time it was originally sent. If a message is deleted, recipients are not notified, and deleted chat content or files are no longer accessible within Zoom. All platforms support the typing indicator, which notifies you when the other user in a 1:1 chat is typing a message.
Note: You may be restricted from editing or deleting messages in Team Chat based on account and group settings configured by your admins. If you belong to multiple groups with conflicting settings, the most restrictive setting will apply unless a priority group has been established.

After receiving a chat message, you can reply to that message to keep all related replies in the same thread. This allows users to easily identify replies and keep content around that topic in one tidy thread.
Note: If adding an emoji to the message or reply, you can search for and insert emojis by typing a : followed by at least two characters to find matching emojis. For example, :jo will provide the :joy:, :joy_cat:, and :joystick: emojis. You can also click the smiley icon in the chat compose box to see all available emojis, GIFs, and saved GIFs to select from.
Some messages may not need a direct response, so you may opt to acknowledge or react to them with emojis. These reactions are displayed under the message for everyone to see, as well as add their own reaction. This is a great way to gauge the response to a message or announcement.
If others have already reacted with the emoji you would like to use, you can click the emoji displayed below the message to send that reaction as well. The number beside the emoji will increase to note the additional reaction. Hovering your cursor over the emoji will show all the users who have used that reaction for this message.
