Using the Evernote App


Evernote is note-taking software that helps users capture and organize ideas, projects and to-do lists. This app allows users to connect their Evernote account to Zoom Team Chat, allowing them to share, create, and clip notes without having to switch back and forth between applications.

How to install from the Zoom App Marketplace

The Evernote App is included with the Zoom desktop client and is displayed in your Zoom Apps list.

To install the app manually:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Search for Evernote.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Review the requested permissions and click Authorize.
    Once installed, the app is displayed under the Apps section of the Zoom desktop client.

Connect to your Evernote account

  1. Sign in to the desktop client.
  2. Click the Team Chat tab .
  3. At the bottom of the left chat panel, find the Apps section.
  4. Select Evernote.
    You will see a welcome message from the App.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompt to sign in to your Evernote account.

Create a clip from a Team Chat message

Any chat messages or thread can be saved into Evernote for future reference.

  1. Sign in to the desktop client.
  2. Click the Team Chat tab .
  3. Find the message or thread to save to Evernote.
  4. Hover your cursor over the message or thread.
    Additional options will appear.
  5. Click the more icon .
  6. Click Clip.
    The selected message or thread will be saved to Evernote.

How to uninstall from the App Marketplace

  1. Log in to the App Marketplace web portal.
  2. Click Manage and then click AddedApps.
  3. Next to the Evernote, click Remove.
