Creating personal meeting templates

When you schedule a meeting, you can save its settings so that you can use it as a template for scheduling future meetings. The template includes settings like enabling join before host, automatic recording, and language interpretation. For recurring meetings, you also have the option to save the recurrence schedule as part of the template. You can save up to 40 personal meeting templates.

Note: Meeting templates do not save the meeting time and date or alternative host settings.

Admins can also create admin-level meeting templates for you to use.

How to create a personal meeting template

To create a meeting template for personal use, you must first configure and save a meeting with the settings you need, then save that meeting as a template.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Meetings.
  3. Click Schedule a Meeting.
  4. Choose any meeting settings that you would like to apply to the template.
    Notes:
    • Meeting templates do not save the meeting time and date or alternative host settings. All other settings made while scheduling the meeting will be applied to the meeting template, including polling.
    • Your Personal Meeting ID (PMI) cannot be used for a meeting template. Only automatically-generated meeting IDs are used for meeting templates.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save as Template.
  7. Specify the template name, then click Save as Template.
